We work with 15 regional theatres and 280 schools across England to embed the active teaching of Shakespeare in the curricula. Alongside transformational continuing professional development for teachers, the programme includes unique opportunities for students in performance, leadership and career development. The programme is built around the principle of schools working in local partnership clusters to develop communities of practice.
We have clusters in over 30 areas in England, working with primary, secondary and special state-maintained schools, with a specific focus on schools serving areas of socio-economic disadvantage. Schools eligible for the Associate Schools Programme are state-maintained and have above the national average of Pupil Premium funding or students eligible for Free School Meals.
